Colin burke has lived in Gladstone and Boyne Island for the last 10 years and over that time has established his own businesses in Gladstone, Tannum Sands and Calliope.
Colin is well known in the business and wider community and has served on many boards and community organisations over the past 10 years.
He is a past President of the Rotary Club of Port Curtis, has been the Gladstone zone Chair of the Reiq and has just stepped down as the Chairman of the Gladstone area promotion and development organistation. As well as those organisations he still remains an active member of the Salvation Army Red Shield committee and is a current member of the Salvation Army Corp Council and is current member and takes an active interest in several other public organisations including sporting clubs, local arts council and the Gladstone Eisteddfod Committee.
Colin will stand up and be a voice for small business and is passionate about the ETS debate that is currently happening. He will speak out in the interests of the many coal and aluminium workers and farmers whose jobs are in jepoardy in Central Queensland if the current Government gets there proposed bill through parliament.
