LNP Candidate for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has declared his commitment to the development of the tourism industry in the Pine Rivers region.
“We have some amazing opportunities in the Pine Rivers region to further develop a thriving tourism industry. Through Clear Mountain, Lake Samsonvale, Dayboro and Ocean View we have some spectacular natural environment and tourism venues that we need to better showcase to potential tourists.”
“A thriving local tourism industry will also mean more local jobs for Pine Rivers residents for many years to come.”
Mr Holswich recently met with a number of local tourism operators and small business owners to hear their views on the local tourism industry.
“The overwhelming opinion has been that we have great potential in Pine Rivers that is yet to be fully tapped.”
State Government red tape and insufficient infrastructure have been identified as key factors impeding the growth of tourism locally.
“Business owners would love to expand their tourism business but government red tape is wasting too much of their time and money. It’s unfortunate that this tired Labor Government is making doing business unnecessarily tough for Pine Rivers tourism businesses.”
“An LNP Government will be committed to cutting bureaucratic red tape to reduce small business costs and enable them to remain competitive.”
“The LNP has already announced plans to dump Labor’s waste tax and scrap sustainability declarations in an effort to support small businesses.”
“The LNP has identified tourism as one of the four crucial pillars of Queensland’s economy that need to be supported and developed.”
Mr Holswich has committed to working closely with local tourism operators if elected at the coming State Election.
“I want to work with all local tourism operators and potential operators to help Pine Rivers become one of the ‘must visit’ destinations of South East Queensland. Developing the local tourism industry to its full potential will bring jobs to our region and will benefit our entire community.”
Mr Holswich has also encouraged all Pine Rivers residents to support local tourism operators.
“Winery tours, farmstay experiences, horse riding, restaurants, historical villages – there’s so much to explore locally. I strongly encourage all Pine Rivers residents to look locally for their next recreational adventure.”
