AFTER 20 long years in power, Anna Bligh and Labor now want another 20 to fix the Warrego Highway.
LNP Shadow Minister for Main Roads, Fisheries and Marine Infrastructure Dr Mark Robinson said the announcement from Anna Bligh and Labor’s Member for Toowoomba North Kerry Shine was an insult.
“Labor’s vision is so long-term it can’t be believed,” Dr Robinson said.
“They’ve had 20 years and they’ve done nothing. Now they want another 20 for a strategy to fix what should have been done through proper planning, budgeting and delivery.
“After 20 years of doing nothing, Anna Bligh and Kerry Shine want the people of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs to believe that they’ll deliver the Second Range Crossing, the Toowoomba Bypass, extra overtaking lanes, upgraded intersections and widened stretches along the highway.
“After 20 years, Labor is a broken record. And over the weekend Labor rolled out the same old garbage about its master plan to transform the Warrego Hwy.
“Long-term Labor really treats Toowoomba and Darling Downs residents like a bunch of mugs.
“No one on the Downs believes a word Labor says when it comes to the Warrego.
“It’s time to change a broken record. Only an LNP government can deliver on the Warrego Highway.”
“It’s time for change. It’s time to get Queensland back on track.”
