Amanda Stoker chosen as LNP candidate for Oodgeroo in 2024

8 October 2023

Former Federal Assistant Minister, Queensland Senator, Barrister and television host, Amanda Stoker, has been chosen as the LNP’s candidate for Oodgeroo in next year’s state election.

“As someone who talks with a lot of Queenslanders, it is clear the Palaszczuk Labor Government has lost its way,” Ms Stoker said.

“We need a government that will stem the chaos at the Redlands Hospital, take youth crime seriously, improve housing supply and reduce cost pressures for local families.

“We need a government that will listen and take action to address the things that are most important to our local community.

“I am proud to join the LNP team and work with David Crisafulli to deliver real solutions and the change Queensland so desperately needs.”

LNP Leader David Crisafulli said Ms Stoker would bring a wealth of experience to the team.

“As a former Senator, Amanda has a proven track record of serving Queenslanders,” Mr Crisafulli said.

“She has worked tirelessly over many years for our State.

“Amanda’s energy, resilience and experience will help thrust the issues that matter to Redlanders into the spotlight.

“She joins our growing list of exceptional candidates from all walks of life choosing to stand with us against a tired third term government consumed with constant chaos and crisis of its own making.

“As the underdog at the next election, we know we must work harder for longer to gain Queenslanders’ trust and prove we are ready to govern.

“There is a growing mood for change in Queensland. A year out from the next election, the LNP is united and focussed on delivering for Queenslanders.

“We will show there is a better way for our State.”
